A Little Box of Cookie Kindness

A Little Box of Cookie Kindness

By Sian Potter

Finally, we're on the home run to Spring sunshine, daffodils, sitting outside with a brew and listening to the birds singing. Ahh bliss. It's often the small things that really make you appreciate life in general and those around us.

The start of a new year, combined with this horrid, cold, wet weather and let's be honest, some of the stories we read in the news, can be really tough for so many people to cope with. We know how important a little 'pick-me-up' now and again can be to someone, no matter how small the gesture.

That's why we will be quietly sending a box of cookies and a ‘Hug in a Mug’ from Cuppa Kindness to someone who could really use a little care. It's something we'll be doing regularly, for someone different each time. It isn’t a competition at all; we don't need to know someone's story, and we don't need an explanation as to why you would like to give someone a hug from afar. If we can put a smile on someone's face with one small gesture, that's all that matters.

If someone comes to mind, or if that someone is you, you can simply send us a private message on Facebook or Instagram - don't forget to include an address. We’ll choose one message at random and send the cookies, no questions asked. Keep an eye on our socials for our next Box of Kindness announcement.
If you’re reading this and thinking of someone, maybe check in on them today. Sometimes that’s just as powerful.
