A little kindness goes a Long way

A little kindness goes a Long way

By Sian Potter

Lately, it feels like everywhere you turn, whether it’s the TV, the radio, or a quick scroll on your phone, there’s a lot of heaviness and negativity in the world and it got me thinking….

Life isn’t really about all of that, is it?

It’s about the little wins. Taking care of yourself and the people around you. Appreciating the small things that we often rush past. The saying ‘you never know what someone is going through’ couldn’t be more true. A kind word, a small gesture, even just checking in with someone. It can mean more than we realise.

Because let’s be honest, life can be tough. For some, it can feel like a bit of a never-ending conveyor belt that’s hard to step off. And that’s exactly why spreading a little kindness matters so much. Here at Choowee, that’s what we’re all about. We want people to feel cared for, supported, and most of all, loved.

Sometimes it’s as simple as catching up with a friend for a cuppa and a proper chinwag. Other times, it’s sending a little something in the post to let them know you’re thinking of them, especially when you can’t be there in person. Something our Baked With Love boxes with a handwritten note are perfect for. We just love making people smile.

Recently, we sent out a small thank you to 15 of our customers. Nothing big or fancy, just a little reminder to say we see you and we really appreciate your support. It’s something we love doing, and it’s what Choowee is all about.

Every now and then, we also like to send out a little ‘Hug in a Mug’ and a box of cookies to someone who could really do with a bit of care and TLC. It’s not a competition, and no one has to explain their story. If you know someone who might need a pick-me-up, you can nominate them. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram, as we’ll be sharing more about how to get involved very soon.

In the meantime, if there’s one thing to take away from this, it’s this… Be kind. Check in on people. And don’t forget to take care of yourself too.
